the point of microneedling is to create minor openings in the skin (eg the face area) and then oftentimes the PRP in applied topically to this area. I do not see why doing microneedling in the scalp would be beneficial since i am already injecting the PRP directly into the scalp, so it is clearly reaching the hair roots. david berman md
Neither microneedling and PRP in my opinion should be done before or after a hair transplant as the microneedling will increase infection risk and the PRP will not impact the hair transplant.
