Botox wore off in 2 weeks - does that mean it doesn't work for me? (Photos)

Thank you for your question. Botox results should last for approximately three to four months. If you do not see lasting results, you may need to adjust the amount of Botox during your treatment session or consider a top-off once you hit the two-week mark. Dysport may also be an option that works better for you as it is known to spread slightly further than Botox. It is also known to produce longer lasting results in many patients. An experienced, qualified injector can work closely with you to monitor your results and adjust treatments for natural results.

This question can't be answered without seeing a before you received botox picture at animation and at rest. In addition, it is hard to see post treatment without pictures of you animating and at rest to determine if you need more. The most important rule of thumb is for your injector to set real expectations. You might have some static lines at rest that "look like they are gone" with botox but are just softened. Once you have a static line, botox will soften it but not remove it. That might be what you are seeing. Of course, if you are able to raise up your eyebrows then you had too little product or it was diluted or old. It's hard to answer the questions with just photos. Good luck!

Botox should on average last anywhere from 4-12 weeks. Each patient is different and Botox is dose dependent, which means: the more you put in the more relaxation and the longer it will last on. You can try talking to your injector about increasing your dose. This should fix this issue, but if you do that and it still does not last about 2-3 months then, you can try a different brand or injector.

Typically final results from your Botox treatment are not seen for two weeks. The product wears off gradually over 3 to 4 months. If you are already seeing full movement of the treated area it may be that you were undertreated or there was an issue with the product. I encourage you to return to your injector for an evaluation.
