My nose is too long for my face and it sticks out too far. I don't have a problem of how I look from a front view but I hate the way I look from the side. I actually have a consultation for rhinoplasty next month in July. Some professional opinions of what changes could be made to my nose will give me an idea of what I should hear from my doctor when I have my consultation with him.
Answer: Best Changes to Nose in Rhinoplasty
Hi Victoria,
You are very pretty. Your nose is a little large for your face and distracts focus away from your eyes.. The goal of rhinoplasty should be to get your nose out of the way of your other facial features, particularly your eyes.
Your nasal tip should be refined and made smaller. The middle third of your nose is narrow and should be made 1-2 millimeters with spreader grafts. Your profile should be lowered as well. Given how narrow the upper 2/3 of your nose is, you may not require osteotomies (breaking the nasal bones). Choose your rhinoplasty surgeon (board certified in Facial Plastic Surgery or Plastic Surgery specializing in rhinoplasty) most carefully. Good luck and be well.

Answer: Rhinoplasty options I agree that you are a good candidate for a rhinoplasty. Go on a few consults. The most important decision you will make is the selection of the right surgeon for you. Ask to see photos of noses similar to yours. Your nose basically needs to be made smaller to be more proportional to your other facial features. Good luck!

Answer: Rhinoplasty for the natural nose.
The most important issue in my 35 years of revision rhinoplasty is that your nose not be overdone-no scoops, pinching or pig noses. Conservative removal of your hump with possible tip refinement. Look at b /a photos and the surgeon's live patients he has done.

Answer: What Changes Can Be Made to my Nose to Make It Proportional to my Face?
The dorsum can be reduced to give a nicer profile. Whether or not the nose should be deprojected or shortened needs to be determined during the consultation after discussing goals. Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of rhinoplasties each year. Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results. Kenneth Hughes, MD Los Angeles, CA

Answer: This patient is an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty.
The photograph demonstrates an attractive face with modest aesthetic problems of the nose covered by thin skin. You should expect an excellent result from a rhinoplasty. Video imaging will give your surgeon a good idea of how you want to look postoperative.
