Bright yellow skin after breast augmentation. Is this normal?

Hello, I am 4 days po and noticed yellow marks on my sternum and around the side of me breasts. Some of it surrounds my bruising, and some does not. I did not have this until this today, is this normal? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your question.It's hard to say without a picture but by your description it seams to be normal bruising. Bruises tend to change color with time. Depending on your skin tone a bruise can go from a black and blue purplish color to a yellow even a green color with time. This is what happens as the bruise goes away. Just remember to keep away from the sun if you have brushing so as not to could pigment the skin.You can ask your plastic surgeon if he has any topical treatments to make the bruise dissipate faster.Best of luck with your recovery.Dr. Mota

Yes it is normal to have yellow surrounding your bruised
areas. You should make sure to see your surgeon to ensure it is not anything
more eminent.

Without pictures, it is difficult to give good advice.  In general, your description sounds like bruising that is going away.  If this is the case, the yellow will go away in a few days.  Always best to ask your surgeon about these type of concerns in the early part of healing after swurgery.  Best wishes.
