I had Diep Flap breast reconstructive surgery 2 years ago. Am I a good candidate for a BBL?

It sounds like you are a candidate for the procedure.  Photos would make it easier for us to comment more specifically in your case. Of course an in person consultation is necessary to know for sure.  Your DIEP breast reconstruction will not be a contraindication to you having liposuction to your abdomen. If there is enough fat to harvest from you belly, back, hips flanks or anywhere else then you may be a candidate.  The dog ears can be revised at the same time as the BBL.

Without pictures or an exam, this is difficult to answer.  From your description, you may be a very good candidate.   The connection of blood vessels is usually performed in the chest or axilla, so this is usually not an issue.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Your previous surgery does not prevent you from having plastic surgery now. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less.
l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know.

WIthout an examination it is very difficult to say. The diep flap in and of itself is not a contraindication. If the abdomen has fatty tissue, then you can certainly harvest from this region.

You could be a good candidate for the BBL procedure. However, a physical exam is needed to make any recommendations. The BBL procedure involves harvest fat from areas of your body where there is excess fat and injecting that fat carefully into the central zone of your buttock. In addition, it involves liposculpting the buttock to facilitate a more rounded look. The common donor sites for this procedure is your posterior waist/flanks, lateral thighs, back, waist, and anterior tummy. Please visit with a board certified plastic surgeon to learn more about your options.

Having had a previous DIEP flap is not a contraindication for BBL by any means. It should make you a better candidate in some regards as you shouldn't have as much excess skin on your abdomen allowing for more aggressive liposuction. The dog ears could be revised at the same time as well. I would encourage you to come in for a consult.
