Can the hair on my birthmark be removed?

Question

I have this birthmark on my legs, its slightly brown with hair. It covers up 50% on the back of my upper legs. Its embarassing to wear shorts and I got low self esteem. I wish to remove my birthmark but is it possible? But for temporary i want to remove the hair? Do I need laser or just shave it? My friends say its not that obvious if its not for the hair. Pleaseeee thankyou

This maybe a Becker's Naevus, and certainly hair removal is an option. You will need at least a diode 810 laser, put preferably a 1064 nm long pulse Nd Yag. This is the safest option especially if you have a dark mole as the background. You will require 5-7 treatments, and top ups yearly are needed.
