Vascular birthmarks can be improved or removed with pulsed dye laser. Our office specializes in surgical and laser mole removal. Best, DR. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
You need a combination of laser treatments for removal. It will require multiple treatments but needs to be evaluated in person to determine costs and length of time for treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi Janie. The treatment for red birthmark removal (port wine stain) is a pulsed dye laser. V-Beam and V-star are common lasers for this type of treatment. We use both and get excellent results for the type of birthmark you have. The price of the removal depends on who you go to and how many treatments you need. An average for port wine stain removal is in the $300 range per treatment at our practice and the number of treatments varies greatly based on how deep the vascularity is, anywhere between 2 to 15.
