Hi, I was just wondering if there is any way or any signs that can tell whether your nose is still swollen months after rhinoplasty?
Answer: Nasal swelling
Swelling can present in many ways. First the nose may be stiff, second with activity you may notice it looks larger. Usually the nose takes about a year for thte swelling to improve.

Answer: Swelling
Although, everyone heals at a different rate, you need to wait the standard one year before considering any thing different

Answer: Swelling after rhinoplasty
Dear Bridgend
Simply stated, the initial swelling after your rhinoplasty gradually diminishes over the first months.
Overall the nose will continue to change with contraction and healing for 9-12 months.
This is natural healing and is different for every patient and rhinoplasty type, but if you are only a few months after surgery, then you still have "swelling"

Answer: Signs of Nasal Swelling Post Rhinoplasty
Some swelling is typically present for about one year following rhinoplasty. Other than the appearance of the nose I always tell patients that firmness is a sign of residual, temporary swelling.

Answer: Rhinoplasty results
There may very well be residual swelling after as long a 3 months after rhinoplasty depending on how much was done and how thick the nasal soft tissues are (thicker more fibrofatty tissue holds swelling longer than thinner tissues). Wait a full year before evaluating the final result and any possible need for revision.
