Can I safely go through a bbl while having heart palpatations sometimes?

Cosmetic surgery is "real" surgery. The primary goal is safety. It is important to remember that these procedures are not medically necessary  procedures and as such they should not be performed under less than optimal circumstances. Patients should generally be in good health and have a low risk profile.With regards to your specific question, while occasional palpitations or arrhythmias are not an absolute contraindication to surgery, it can be a cause for concern. I generally recommend that patients with similar issues be cleared for surgery prior by cardiology. A pre-op EKG and anesthesia evaluation is prudent. Remember, your surgical team (surgeon and anesthesiologist) reserve the right to abort or cancel a procedure if there is any concern for your safety.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon.
