I got chin lipo about 6 months ago. My right side profile appears to have a better result than the left, which has still had a little bulge. Would I benefit from a revision or would coolmini and/or kybella yield similar results without having to undergo surgery again?

Answer: Chin liposuction Dear ren25, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photos, it looks like you would benefit from chin liposuction. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Liposuction results The primary reason for you having a double chin, lack of jawline definition and formation of early Jowl formation is related to the size of your mandible being small in relationship to your maxilla. Since Liposuction doesn’t address the primary problem it is likely to leave and in perfect outcome. The area of fullness is exactly where the submandibular salivary gland sits. There may also be some sagging in the skin or platysma muscle contributing. Oh Raul it looks like your provider did a nice job though we can’t really assess the outcome of a procedure without seeing proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures ask your surgeon to forward the ones they took. Nonsurgical options are far less effective than surgical treatments are fat removal. My best guess is that Liposuction revision will not give you much of an improvement but the degree of improvement in the end is in the eye of the beholder. Put the skin under tension and press straight in gently with one finger. Do this in all the different areas that were treated to carefully assess the thickness of the subtitaneous fat layer. My best guess is you’ll find it to be thin and even throughout the areas treated. Gently pressing against the skin while the skin is under gentle tension is the most accurate way to assess the thickness of subtitaneous fat. Pinching the skin is an inaccurate way of doing it since it recruits skin and doubles the layer of both fat and skin. I would not recommend any non-surgical options. If you want to explore more definitive treatment than consider consulting with oral surgeons or plastic surgeons with craniofacial Fellowship training. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
