We do a tremendous number of treatments at our clinic for people with scarring from burns, car accidents, acne and more. Your photo suggests mainly post-inflammatory hyper pigmentation, and the starting point is a good sunblock in the morning, and in the evening a variety of fading/bleaching creams that include things like retinol or retin-a, glycolic or lactic acid, and more. Best to chat with your dermatologist. Lasers and chemical peels can also be considered, but best to start topically.

It is really difficult to tell the exact problem based on this photo. However, generally speaking it seems like it is a pigment problem? I often will use a combination of special lasers and a hydroquinone based lightening cream to treat hyperpigmented scars.  Seek out a plastic surgeon in your area with experience using lasers, etc to manage your scars!  They likely will be able to improve the appearance quite a bit but there is nothing/no one that can completely remove scars.
