Should I be concerned about a CUI breast implant?

Though CUI breast implants are an Allergan breast implant, they are not licensed by the FDA in the US.  The recent guidance provided by Allergan is related to BIOCELL® saline-filled and silicone-filled TEXTURED breast implants and tissue expanders.  However, the FDA is not recommending removal or replacement of Biocell TEXTURED breast implants in asymptomatic patients.  Discuss your concern about removing/replacing your 12 year old CUI breast implants with your board certified PS.

that I am aware of and implant technology is pretty consistent across the nations when it comes to a traditional gel implant.  There should be no more risks of problems when compared to those used in the USA.  But you should still establish a relationship with a local surgeon so you can have follow-ups and evaluations should the need arise.  

CUI is an excellent implant, (bought by Allergan) but any case , all women with implants, should continuous with self exam, regular doctor visit and ultrasound (or MRI), if all is ok, you need not to worry. By the way, CUI surface is smooth

Biocell implants textured by Allegan and McGhan before them are the ones that may cause the strange lymphomas. Every patient should be evaluate individually.
