VI peel causing redness and limited peeling. (photos)

Question

I had a VI peel 3 days ago. The practitioner did not give me the home treatment kit and about t30 mins after treatment my skin was BURNING. I have red spots on my cheeks, very limited peeling and more pronounced brown spots on my cheeks. Is this normal?

Vipeel chemical peels can cause post treatment redness, itching, 
dryness, and ironically, hyperpigmentation. Early post-peel care is 
vital. I would use a curated combination of Covalent peels, fractional 
laser, and topical creams to treat the skin after a Vipeel. Start with 
Elevase to help with dryness of the skin. Melarase creams are ideal to 
combat pigmentation.

Thank you for your question! Contact your provider as soon as possible since they had to give you a aftercare kit. It takes few days to recover from Vi peel. I would advise you to use sunscreen daily and cooling pads. Best of luck!

It is a little alarming that you were not provided with a home treatment kit from your practitioner along with post-treatment instructions from your provider. It is important you have information for post peel care including the need to use sunscreen that should be provided to you. It seems you have experienced a sensitive reaction around your eyes based on the photographs and the hydrocortisone that comes in the post-treatment kit can help ease burning that may be caused. I recommend following up with the office on these items to ensure the best care is taken for you.

It disturbs me that there was no kit, was this a doctors office?  Is this genuine Vi peel ? The box of peels a physician gets comes with a nice pre packaged kit of sunscreen and hydrocortisone cream plus 3 pads containing retina-a.

It looks as if there was uneven absorption and some areas received more vi thats others. i would get in touch pronto if unavailable make sure you are using good sunscreen. Ice packs may also help.
