5 weeks post neck lift and liposuction underchin.Neck bands are getting better- still tight at times. Is this normal?

I was hoping to be healed by now. My surgeon is great. I know everyone heals differently. I still have swelling under my chin, feels lumpy bumpy there as on one side of jawline and feels super tight. Neck bands are getting better- still tight at times. Is this normal for so long after the surgery?

Thanks for writing,I think tightness is good, it implies scar and adherence of the skin to the deep structures and the infers improved contour. In my experience this could last for months. Massage is to your benefit, that being said, I would follow your Board Certified Plastic Surgeons post-op instructions carefully and completely. You should do well. Good luck Stephen M.
