Does sleeping affect the bruising and swelling in lipo recovery?

Hi, I had lipo under my chin yesterday and i slept on my side. the side i slept on is looking more bruised and swollen and my jaw looks bigger on that side now too. does the side i sleep on effect the swelling? should i be freaking out that the face is now uneven?? is there a way i can fix it?I would ask my doctor but hes closed.

I would not expect sleeping on your side to cause bruising or swelling after liposuction under your chin, but I do generally recommend that patient's sleep using an extra pillow to keep their head higher than their chest.  This does help to reduce swelling that develops after the surgery.  Using a compression garment also usually helps.
