Can anyone recommend a surgeon in NYC who is skilled at performing punch excision for ice-pick acne scars? I'm not interested in punch-grafts but I do understand that post-excision laser treatment is ideal for an optimal result--I'm just having trouble finding a doctor in NYC who is an expert in this area. Ice pick scars can be treated by punch excision with a small, 2mm punch and then sutured. Sometimes, a simpler technique is to apply 75% trichloracetic acid into the depth of the scar on the tip of a toothpick. This will often close the scar though it may take several tries.
