My over all face shape has always been an insecurity of mine, but my attention is heavily focused on my chin. I'm almost twenty years old and I simply have never come to like my chin. I feel as if it's too long and too slender or pointy for my face. I was wondering what my opinions, if any, would be for changing the shape of it. I would like a more "rounded" look, as I would like my face shape to appear more "oval".

To vertically shorten your chin and make it less round, an intraoral vertical chin reduction osteotomy would accomplish that very nicely and without any external scar. This is a chin bone issue and thus the chin bone itself must be altered to make this change.

A full set of facial photographs are required, especially the side profile to make a determination about being a candidate for chin implant.  Chin implants are manufactured in a large variety of shapes and sizes, which is determined at the time of the examination and consultation.
