If I decide to get a radix filler to make my radix higher, since it's gel, will it get messed up when I scrunch my face? This might sound dumb but I wouldn't want to find out the hard way
Answer: Radix Filler The bridge of the nose between the eyes (the radix) can be easily enhanced with injection of many available fillers. You can see good results for up to a year. In your specific case, it appears that you should first consider hump reduction. The radix augmentation will not get "messed up" when you scrunch your face. I hope this is helpful. All the best.

Answer: Injectable fillers to the nasal radix What a great question! Injectable fillers can be placed in the nose to create cosmetic changes known in the media as a "non-surgical rhinoplasty." While surgery would be a definitive answer to having a strong dorsal hump and deep radix, fillers may be used in that area with nice results. I have used both hyaluronic acids and calcium hydroxylapatite in the nasal dorsum and radix and have not had any issues with product migration. On the contrary, filling those areas seems to provide results that last a year or so.

Answer: Radix fillers? Hyaluronic fillers can elevate the depressed area and produce a modest cosmetic improvement. They generally last 6-9 months. Micro-fat grafts are a more permanent filler, but require a more involved procedure. There are synthetic permanent fillers, but most plastic surgeons would warn against using them, especially in the nasal area because of the long term potential complications. There are a variety of grafts that will give a permanent result. Starting with a hyaluronic filler is a reasonable first step. If you like the result and want something more permanent you can always proceed with one of the other options. Moving your face should not cause any problem with any of the options.Keep in mind that following advice from a surgeon on this or any other website who proposes to tell you exactly what to do based on two dimensional photos without examining you, physically feeling your tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history and discussing the pros and cons of each procedure would not be in your best interest. I would suggest that you find a surgeon certified by the American Board of American Plastic Surgery and one who is ideally a member of The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) that you trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with that surgeon in person.Robert Singer, MD FACSLa Jolla, California

Answer: Radix fillers? Fillers can work nicely in this area as a temporary fix. Moving your face shouldn't cause any problems with the filler. It is very important to find an experienced injector to treat this area as it is a less common area to inject. Experience will minimize the risk of any problems following the injection. I do agree with Dr. Peck that if you want to go down the surgical route, a radix graft is the only permanent option and it typically creates very nice results.Stephen Weber MD, FACSDenver Facial Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Radix filler, radix graft The radix, the bridge just between the eyes, can be filled with an HA fill very safely and is placed deep to the muscle so you can still scrunch your nose. We also like fat grafting in this "soft" area in the bridge. There are many opinions on radix grafts, however they are often easily felt or can be movable and we look for other solutions first.
