Can I remove my permanent retainer, wait for my teeth to relapse then do veneers?

myteethplz
I had braces and my clear retainers got burned so i opted for permanent retainers. Now some of my teeth have moved , my bite is correct but i have pain and discomfort when i talk, my lower and upper jaw coordination has become weird , i had braces for a year and i removed them 6 months ago. My question is, can i remove my permanent retainer , wait for my teeth to relapse then do veneers? some doctors told me that my teeth might take a new position that is even worse, is that true? i'm 30 .
