Can shedding start after taking finasteride for a month? (Photos)

I'm taking finasteride1mg-daily since 1.5 month. There was negligible shedding in the first month but I am facing mild shedding i.e50-60 thin hairs since the last week and it is making me worried So my question is that is it possible that, Can conventional-shedding may start after 30-40 days of finasteride? Also my hairloss grade is norwood1.5.

Finasteride , can cause an initial shed. Any medication that is shortening the telogen phase and putting hairs into the growth phase ( anagen)  can cause an initial shed.PRP hair md.com

Yes, finasteride can cause shedding for the first 1-3 months. It’s especially common for men with early balding given the high proportion of telogen hairs that are present. You need to remember that there are other causes of shedding too - so if things don’t improve see your physician.

When you start finasteride, shedding has been reported for up to two months. Unusual to ahve it start on the second month. You may ahve to wait it out in hope that it stops. Go back and see your doctor
