Can SMP before a hair transplant make the procedure more difficult?

I wanted to know that if we do SMP before transplant how doctors doing transplant wont find it difficult to transplant hair on bald patches as it is camouflaged because of SMP. Keeping gaps between transplanted hairs. I had transplant earlier few years back, going through it again for correction, if I do SMP on the gaps and the back area, wont the doctors find it difficult to extract the hair and place it in SMP area

Getting a hair transplant after having SMP can be more challenging than getting a hair transplant on a normal scalp. When performing a hair transplant, the surgeon needs to carefully implant individual hair follicles into the scalp to achieve a natural-looking result. The presence of SMP pigments in the scalp can make it more difficult for the surgeon to see the natural hair follicles and determine where to place the transplanted follicles. This can increase the risk of the transplanted follicles being implanted too close together or too far apart, resulting in an unnatural appearance. However, it is still possible to get a hair transplant after having SMP. It is important to choose a highly experienced and skilled hair transplant surgeon who has experience working with SMP patients.

Hello I'm Dr. Wipawan Vathananai, a co-worker of Dr. Kulakarn Amonpattana, from BHI Clinic, Bangkok, Thailand. With magnification, most certified hair transplant surgeons would be able to perform the hair transplant despite there are some SMP on the balding scalp. However, I would recommend you to get SMP done after your 2nd hair transplant. I think it's more practical to do it that way since you will also be able to save money on SMP.
