Getting punched in the face after sliding genioplasty?

I'm involved in martial arts. I've been holding off on full contact fighting because I don't want to rebreak it. It's been 2 months. How much longer until I can take a punch to the face?

Chin implants are excellent procedures for increasing chin projections.  When performed by a well trained, board certified facial plastic surgeon, they do not have high failure rates.  Genioplasty is a much more aggressive approach, and much more invasive with increased recovery time....

   Yes, there are many techniques including muscle reapproximation, fat grafting, etc.  This depends upon the depth of the cleft and relative involvement of the bone and whether or not the chin has good projection.  Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
