Vaser 6 months post op. Any input on these results? (Phtoo)

Question

Male 37 years old pre-surgery, 73kgs. Exercise 4-5 days a week, got this done for stubborn fat. Vaser in front abs and flanks. 2400 ML of fat extracted, got seroma consecutively the first 4 weeks every 3 days. Stopped with 25+ massages around three months ago since I was told I was still swollen. Outcome 6 months later totally dissapointed. Got a second opinion last week from another Dr and found out I still had seroma fortunately was taken out. Any input of these results

If you want us to make an assessment on the outcome of a procedure then you need to post proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have those then ask your provider to forward the ones they took.

A seroma  needs to be treated by aspiration on a regular basis until no fluid re-accumulates. This can mean visiting the plastic surgeons office every couple of days for weeks.

If this is not done aggressively early after surgery the fluid collection will become encapsulated. Once in capsulated it cannot be treated by aspiration any longer. Because of the encapsulation the fluid will simply return.

An encapsulated seroma can only be treated by surgically removing the capsule then typically placing a drain.

Your surgeon is responsible for the outcome of the procedure and you are responsible for choosing that surgeon.
