Will liposuction help reduce bloating (I would very much like this to be the outcome)?

Hi! I am interested in getting 360 lipo, mainly targeting my lower stomach. A friend of mine had a BBL and said that now when she eats her stomach rarely expands as it used to. Keep in mind, she also had a few abs etched. I've been trying to confirm if this is something that is usual (I would very much like this to be the outcome as my stomach tends to expand a lot after anything I eat). The only questions/responses I found regarding bloating is after lipo, but what happens after fully recovered?

Liposuction of the abdominal wall is usually followed by 3-4 months of wearing a compressive garment. The thinning of the abdominal wall by removing fat and wearing the compressive garment helps create early satiety and may help reduce weight. There are two components of the abdominal wall: the muscle and the fascia. Working out can increase the muscle tone and the fascia is repaired by abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement.

liposuction would remove fat tissue but it will not help with bloating. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

liposuction wil remove fat, tighten skin and give muscular shape if you have a bloated stomach this could be internal fat that needs peptides. I suggest you see an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thanks for the question,Before I answer, I always say that the patient should always seek in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon or in your case I suggest a Nutritionist/Dietitian before any advancements to surgery. I have seen magic happen with proper diet.Based upon your question, I suggest to research further as your external fat and internal bloating are opposite. Liposuction can treat areas that are very resistant to exercise or diet, thus reducing number of fat cells.

Liposuction is the removal of fatty tissue.  It will not impact bloating.  It is common after surgery to experience swelling, which is different than bloating.  Swelling resolves over time as the tissues contract and heal.  For issues with bloating I encourage you to speak with your primary care physician or gastroenterologist.

Bloating is an internal issue, usually related to diet, and is not changed with liposuction. Liposuction only removes excess fat.

Liposuction removes subcutaneous fat. That is the fat layer between your skin and muscle. This has no influence on what happens in your gastrointestinal tract after eating.

I personally am not a fan of high definition work also known as etching.  it is a permanent and irreversible technique that all too often and sup looking undesirable. It can give impressive results in athletic young men but I question what does results will look like as those patients age and possibly gain a few pounds.
