I've lost quite a bit of weigh since my initial consultation, and my PS and I settled for Sientra smooth round LOW profile 250cc implants. after researching so much I'm scared that I will have a wide flat boob and won't give me the look i want. I want more upper pole fullness and not super fake. Im not sure if I need to switch my implant profile. My BWD was 13.9 back in June so I'm not sure if it's less now since I've lost weight.
Answer: Should I get low profile or moderate? Other? (photos) None of the modalities to approximate final results from breast implants are 100% accurate; they merely facilitate the patient and the board certified PS concurring on the size and type of breast implant which will come the closest to reaching the patient's goal. My patients prefer to try on the sizers under garments they typically wear to determine if they fit as expected and help allay some of their trepidation associated with this decision.Have another preliminary conversation with your PS and ask to try on a profile bra with silicone moderate 250cc and 300 cc sizers under a tailored blouse, tight sweater, swimsuit, workout clothes, tank tops, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected. The most important clinical factor in determining breast implant size is the base width or diameter of the patient’s native breast. If the patient would like more volume to obtain a larger cup size, the implant profile can be shifted from a moderate profile implant to higher profile implant. I would recommend that you go with the size that boosts your self-esteem, and fits your anatomy. Choosing an implant based on an aesthetic goal that exceeds your anatomic capacity may lead to complications and possibly revision. In the OR, my patients leave it up to your PS's experience, technical skill, surgical acumen, and detail-oriented specificity to select the implant that comes closest to the agreed upon aesthetic improvement with your anatomy.

Answer: Your Anatomy And Your Goals Depending on the individual anatomy and desired results, estimations and measurements should be made for each patient individually. The elements that form up the breast shape and size and the overall frame can be different in each person. It is best to consult a board certified plastic surgeon who is experienced in cosmetic breast surgery in person and discuss your goals and options after a physical examination.Hope this helps,Ali Rıza Öreroğlu, MD FEBOPRASEuropean and Turkish Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonIstanbul, Turkey

Answer: Sizing Hello thereWeight loss can significantly affect breast size and may therefore alter the appropriate implant size for you .At the very least you need to be reviewed by your surgeon .A sizing session with sizers and imaging on the Vectra 3D would be of great benefit .CheersTS

Answer: Profile I am not as fan of low profile implants because of the excess width and low projection. I typically use moderate plus to high profile for my patients, depending upon their frame, measurements, and size selected. I would suggest going back to your surgeon and try on the various profiles so you can see the difference.

Answer: What breast implant profile should I choose? The answer to which breast implant profile you should choose is both very simple, and yet very complicated. Simple answer: the one that looks the best and gives you the volume that you want. The more complicated answer is the one that fits your base diameter AND gives you the volume that you want. This is where things get complicated because plastic surgeons have all kinds of different methods and techniques for determining base width diameter; some don't take any measurements at all. This is where I have a fundamental difference of opinion with ALL other plastic surgeons. Based on the way I measure my patients there is absolutely no way that your base width is 13.9 and using an implant that wide will just widen your breast and make it push into the armpit. Having said that, I'm sure that there are plastic surgeons that would claim that your base width is 15 and encourage you to use an even wider implant.Bottom line, I know the plastic surgeon you are seeing and you are in good hands. He's a good doctor. If you like the way his breast augmentation patients look then you will likely achieve similar results. If you want to learn more about breast augmentation you can download a free breast augmentation planner at aBetterBreast dot comRichard H Fryer, MD FACS Board Certified by American Board of Plastic Surgeons (ABPS) member American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) member American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS)
