Answer: Resurfx can help even out the skin texture of the scar Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: Scar Dear Jonathan800, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photo, it looks like you would benefit from fat grafting or dermal fillers. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: For Indented Scars--Elevate & Smooth With Subcision; For Stitch Marks, Consider Manual Dermastamp Microneedling First let me say that surgical excisions in areas subject to dynamic or static muscular tension, such as the forehead, pose a significant risk for the subsequent development of stretch scars and tram track stitch marks, both of which can be seen here. And for the same reasons, revision surgery poses similar risks. You would be wise to consult a board certified cosmetic dermatologist with experience in performing both subcision (to elevate and smooth the indentation) and professionally performed manual microneedling to better blend the treated area in both color and texture with the surrounding normal skin. (Note: There is no need for the added expense and risks of RF microneedling--despite the media hype for these here-today-gone tomorrow gizmos). Also note: Both subcision and professionally performed manual microneedling may be used safely in skin of all types.
