2.5 yrs since staph inf left hard fibrosis under the skin on left side of chin. Crescent shape in picture. Had a few Kenalog injections, but it’s still hard and skews my chin to left, esp. obvious on video. Some Dr.’s are hesitant to keep going with Kenalog. Massage recommended but just my fingers don’t soften anything. I got these stainless steel tools (marketed for “acupuncture”) b/c they seem like the right size and shape to get in there. But nervous I’ll create a callous under chin skin.

I recommend you see a board-certified dermatologist, who can discuss all of your treatment options with you. We’ve come a long way in terms of technology and treatment options. That said, you may benefit most from intralesional steroid injections +/- focal resurfacing laser treatments.

The incisions are a bit low, but give yourself time to heal and perhaps they can be raised when more loose skin is available to be removed. This could be done in the office.
