I have a really large gap between my breasts. Can a breast augmentation fix this?

Hello, it is possible to insert implants closer together to help correct the gap between a person's breasts, but this can also cause problems. Your surgeon would need to do a full assessment before giving advice on this issue. For example, if implants are too close together the nipples might look like they are too far on the sides of the breasts. Another problem that could result is visible rippling of the implants along the cleavage area because there is not enough tissue covering the implants. These are just a few considerations a surgeon will make when advising you about implant placement.

Its a great question. Breast augmentation can very nicely increase the volume of the breasts and can also increase the dimensions of the breasts. In your case specifically, an implant of appropriate width can reduce the gap between your breasts and improve the cleavage.

Thank you for your question. Without seeing pictures and or in person it's hard to determine whats going on. Some patients just have wide set breasts and that can't necessarily be fixed. Nothing is wrong with you. There is a huge variation in natural breast shapes, sizes, symmetry, etc. Breast augmentation can help narrow the gap between the breasts. It is important to have a discussion of your concerns with the surgeon you choose to you can develop an acceptable plan together. There is a limit to how close breast implants can or should be placed in order to have an overall good result. Cleavage is significantly improved with breast implants. Thank you for your question. It is hard to say without photos provided. However, if you select an implant with a wide diameter (within limits) it can aid in creating a more narrow cleavage. Fat grafting will also be a good option for you to provide additional volume in narrowing the gap between your breasts. I hope this helps and best of luck to you.

Cleavage can't be built. Breast augmentation can give you more volume a fact which will make it easier in clothes to create more cleavage. When surgeons go beyond the natural inside limit of the breast area to try to build more cleavage, these are the patients that often end up with a symmastia or a uni-boob (one large breast).

There is usually options at improving the appearance with an augmentation but this will depend on an examination of your tissues.
