Unable to get covered if any incidents do happen while away and won’t be returning home until 11 days/nights later and don’t want any complications due to the heat abroad.

The Heat and the Sun have no effect on fillers that are placed into the lips, however since you're going away for a long time without any medical coverage you probably should do it when you come back if you wish to play it safe. Good luck from New York City

Thanks for your question. In general it is best not to travel for 24hours after having dermal filler as if you do have any problems you will not be able to seek help from your practitioner. If you do go ahead with treatment you should avoid the sun as this will help promote healing and risk of further complications. Always seek a qualified and experienced physician when considering treatments in the future

I usually don’t advise travelling within 24-48 hours of having dermal filler as the pressurised cabin can increase bruising and swelling. You also will not have access to your treating practitioner should you have any issues with the treatment. Heat will not have an effect on the dermal fillers but I would avoid direct sun for 24-48h after the procedure to promote healing and reduce the risk of complications including cold sores.
