The distance between the nose and the upper lip can be shortened with an upper lip lift surgery. The ideal distance in females should be 11-13 mm. As a result of this surgery, more tooth exposure can be expected. good luck

The distance between the upper lip and nose varies but should be a little bit more than a centimeter. My preferred technique is a sub-nasal lip lift. The incision is hidden along the inferior part of the nose. A portion of skin is removed, the muscles are tightened with sutures and the incisions are closed. This scar is hardly noticeable once it heals. This will shorten the upper lip, turn out the lip border to show more body of the lip and increase teeth show. This procedure can be done under local anesthesia in the office or as part of other procedures in the operating room.

The best treatment would be a lip lift.  A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.  This is done under local anesthesia, takes about an hour to perform and costs $3,000.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
