How soon after vampire facial can I get a 25% TCA peel?

Hello. I had a vampire facial a week ago. I have had 3 before but this this time my skin looks horrible. I think it actually created some scarring and discoloration. I would like to have a TCA peel to help the discoloration as I have had 3 before. How soon do I have to wait to do a TCA peel?

As your question unfortunately highlights, a healthy dose of "Buyer beware" should be used when considering Vampire facials and facelifts. Vampire facials consist of PRP sprayed or applied to the skin after a facial, and Vampire Facelifts involve directly injecting the PRP into the skin. In the November, 2018 issue of JAMA Dermatology, a prestigious peer-reviewed medical journal, the results of a study on PRP used for treating skin tone and texture concluded, "both participants and raters found that injections of PRP were nominally, but not significantly superior to normal saline"  (i.e. no more effective than salt solution placebo). At $800-$1000/session in my neck of the woods, this is a very significant extravagance for having one's own blood taken out, spun down, and returned in part to him/her only to be as effective as placebo.  As to what you are suffering from now and whether a TCA peel of any strength or any other treatment would be most appropriate for you at this time, you would be wise to consult with a board certified aesthetic dermatologist as soon as possible. You have to wait till you totally heal everyone is a little different, but general rule is at least 6 weeks. Also get an expert opinion if a TCA peel is right for you.
