How to use TCA to treat molluscum contagiosum?

Best done by a dermatologist (as this is the correct answer in this forum). Regardless, if one were to do things at home it would go something like this 1. Protect surrounding skin with Vaseline 2. TCA at 100% 3. Toothpick dip (or fine fine paintbrush) 4. enucleate the centre of the dell with a sterile 25 G needle 5. TCA on the base of the dell and walls - do NOT touch normal skin. 2-3 applications. 6. Usual post peel skin care. 7. No baths, just showers as molluscum is water bourne. 8. Repeat at 2-4 weeks as not all the molluscum will go. 9. You do not need to treat all these lesions with the above as immulogically one may create an ID response. 10. Don't spill on normal skin or it may/ will scar. Stay safe, Dr Davin Lim
