Infection, inflammation or dehydration after a filler? (Photo)

Question

I had radiesse 14 days ago on right nasolabial fold. First was very swollen and little pain. Two days ago I was dehydrated and hot from exercise. I went to my injector because I was deezy, hot and tired. It's been two days since she saw me and I been drinking loots of fluids. I am still hot (99F) , feel tired , with the radiesse a little swollen. It's there a posibility this is an infection for radiesse? or still having dehydration symptoms? should I see an internist or a plastic surgeon?

Generalized infection after injection with a filler is not a possibility. Your symptoms do not sound like they are related to your injection and you should see your family doctor

Thank you for your question.  There can be many different causes of your symptoms and you will require a through workup and history.  This does sound like an infection and you need to rollout biofilm formation.  It is best to follow up with the board certified Dermatologist/PS who injected you so that they may properly evaluate you.  Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
