I currently started later hair removal on my face and neck. Can I also have Ipl photo facials done? It sounds like both treatments are very similar...can they be done in conjunction with each other?

Yes, you can get IPL photofacials while undergoing laser hair removal. Depending on your skin type, it is recommended to be treated with one modality during one visit, and the other on a separate appointment, to avoid complications. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question seliah03. IPL is a great treatment for facial rejuvenation. It can also be used for permanent hair reductions using different settings. I perform both treatments on the same day. Otherwise I recommend that my patients wait one week between treatments. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

You can absolutely do laser hair removal and IPL treatments done around the same time. For my patients receiving both treatments, I recommend waiting one week in between getting your hair removal treatment on your face and your IPL treatment in the same area. Good luck with your treatments!

Yes you can have both treatments done concurrently. Some patients may even elect to have them done at the same appointment.
