I just had a vase high def surgery done for my abs (high def) hips, a bit chest and axilla region. The doctor i have chosen performs this surgery very often and was trained by dr Hoyos. Is it common, that new fake muscles using remaining fat cells were created to achieve the high def look? i was expecting, that the fat over and around the original muscles gets removed as much as possible?

Answer: Vaser Hi Def 6-Pack Thanks for your question. I always tell my "Hi Def" patients that they will not see a 6 pack unless there is already one hiding under there. The answer to your question is, "yes." In other words, I have seen cases where the doctor did make "fake" muscles, just by leaving a lot of extra fat and creating grooves to represent the tendinous insertions (6-pack). To me those always look pretty fake, especially if there is still plenty of subcutaneous abdominal fat left behind. Surgeons who are well-trained (which yours should be, if trained with Dr. Hoyos) should really only perform those procedures on people who are already in pretty good shape and not really overweight. The patient needs to have good abdominal muscles and workout regularly. Ideally, the surgeon will be able to feel your abs and know where the natural tendinous insertions are and be able to enhance those with differential fat removal. Once all healing has occurred, the result should look very natural and will augment your natural musculature. This usually takes 4-6 months and is dependant upon adequate skin tightening. You do not state in your question, how far out from surgery you are, but my guess is that you are still seeing quite a bit of swelling right now. Make sure to watch your weight and resume exercising as soon as you are healed and comfortable to do it. You are also correct in assuming that the fat overlying the muscles is removed, but it is not as aggressively removed as the fat in the "grooves" between the muscle bellies. I hope that was helpful. If you have further questions, please post before and after photos - we can give better answers with more information.

Answer: Vaser liposuction for abdominal etching The idea is to remove the fat off of the muscles and gulleys around the muscles as best as possible to make your real muscles show and not to try to create fake looking muscles.
