Lines like indentations or dents 3 weeks after fractional CO2 treatment. No improvement over 2 weeks, what should I do? (Photos)

Question

I underwent Co2 treatment 22 days ago and around 5th day after areas on both cheeks seemed to get a bit bumpy, with visible lines between laser shots. The whole area on the cheeks seems to be swollen, whereas my chin seems to cure correctly. I was hoping this would flatten over time, but it persists although the redness is slowly going away. I had multiple co2 treatments in the past (I'm 30) for acne scars and I've never experiences anything like this. What can be the reason and how to cure it?

When I have seen issues such as your it often is from a deep pass that delivers a lot of energy to the skin. You are likely seeing the space between their treatment squares. I have attempted to alleviate this by always doing two passes so that every millimeter or skin gets treated with the laser. At this point, microneedling with PRP, IPL or other laser treatments that promote healing or just waiting or your best options. I would discuss your concerns with your doctor as they will be able to better clarify why these lines are occurring.

I am sorry to hear about your situation. Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is an
outstanding treatment that can address multiple aspects of aging in a single
treatment. Full recovery can take several weeks and irregularity in color and texture are not uncommon. For my patients I recommend a good skin care regimen and IPL photofacials, which help with the redness. Lighter fractional laser treatments and/or microneedling may also provide benefit for such patients. Patience is also important after such a treatment. Please consult with a doctor for
