Can Deep CO2 laser treatment dissolve fillers?

Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is an
outstanding treatment that can address multiple aspects of aging in a single
treatment. Theoretically a deep fractional laser may affect a filler that is placed superficially. If the filler is placed deep on the bone, I would not be concerned. It is important to ask your doctor where the filler was placed. For my patients I recommend waiting one to two weeks after a filler before having a fractional laser or even doing the filler a couple of weeks after the laser. But I know physicians who routinely perform both treatments on the same day. Please consult with a doctor for

Of all the fillers Belotero is the one that has the most potential to come in direct contact with the CO2 beam since it is promoted to be placed very superficially in the dermis. However from what you describe it was probably placed deep in the soft tissue just over the periosteum. You definitley need to contact your injector to find out exactly what was done and notify the CO2 surgeon if you do proceed.
