A dentist recommended I get veneers on all 14 of my top teeth. My small incisors are much smaller than my front two teeth. It makes my teeth look slanted even though they really aren’t. Are veneers a good solution here?
Answer: Enhancing Your Smile: The Role of Veneers in Cosmetic Dentistry Veneers are a popular cosmetic dental solution that can address a variety of concerns, including the appearance of small incisors. They are custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of teeth, improving their color, shape, size, or length. Porcelain veneers, in particular, are known for their durability and natural appearance, as they mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural teeth. For individuals with small incisors, veneers can create a more uniform look by making the teeth appear larger and more proportionate to the rest of the teeth. It's important to consider the long-term commitment, as veneers typically need to be replaced every 10 to 20 years. Consulting with a dental professional to discuss the best option for your specific situation is crucial, as they can provide personalized advice based on the condition of your teeth and aesthetic goals.

Answer: ALL 14 TEETH?!?!????? Goodness gracious, do not veneer teeth all the way in the back no one ever sees! Very few individuals smile wide enough to even show their first molars in their smile. Given how you smile, the most you should ever get is probably 10 teeth veneered up top (might want to get the 10 bottom too if you do that so they look the same). That being said, if you like the look of your other natural teeth, the lateral incisors can be veneered alone and give you a great result. Hope that answers your question! *All advice/any statement made here should not be taken as definitive dental advice. The ideal way to obtain definitive information is with proper diagnostic procedures during an in-person consultation.

Answer: Veneers option Hello, my name is Dr Tyler Hales and I am a cosmetic dentist located in Orange County California. I think you are a good candidate for veneers because your small incisors could be bigger and you have some wear on those front teeth and canines. You alos have a narrow smile which would provide more fullness and help take away that slanted look. A lot of that is mostly additive and could be done with very minimal prep veneers.

Answer: Mock-up is required We can talk about a situation where the aesthetics are impaired due to the upper front second incisor teeth being behind. As a more conservative treatment method, only a veneer or crown application that will bring the backward position of these upper two teeth forward, as well as minimal changes in the dimensions of the tooth, will most likely solve the problem. In order to show you how it will look as a result of this treatment, it will be appropriate to show you with a mock up application before making any intervention to the tooth and to perform this treatment if you confirm the result accordingly.
