Does ALL spitting stitches need removed?

Hello, thank you for your recent question!  I would recommend applying warm compresses to help them come to the surface.  Once they are at the surface you can pull them with a tweezers and clip with a finger nail clipper flesh to the skin.  If you feel uncomfortable doing this you can call your surgeon to help you with this. Spitting stitches will spit. After 2 months these issue usually resolve. If you need stitches removed I would tend to recommend patients seeing their PS for advice rather than removing yourself.
