I have tried topical applications that have contained hyalauronic acid and have had redness that I would describe as looking like a light sunburn. I am told that injection of Juvaderm might result in a reaction due to this obvious hyalauronic acid sensitivity. What Juvaderm/hyalauronic acid alternatives are available that I could use to fix smile lines/wrinkles?

It is very tough to answer your question without photos, however, I would give it at least 2 weeks for things to settle before making an assessment.
We do under-eye fillers all the time and it's possible to see a lot of changes occur during that time. I would, however, NOT ice the area...
