Exposed cartilage about 1cm in diameter & Septal perforation approx. 1 cm long & 0.4mm in height. 1 month post op will it heal??

So I had surgery to correct my DNS, the surgeon intentionally left a perf in the nose. Saying it was cause of a large nasal spur. Tiny bit of cartilage is protruding through in the perf. And about an inch or so into my nostrils more cartilage is exposed. surgeon stated the both the perf and exposed cartilage at both sides will heal over but the cartilage inside my nose hasn't changed a bit since post op day 1. Should I be concerned or wait longer? Any answers appreciated!! Thanks In advance.!
