I recently got a 20% TCA peel. It's been almost 48 hours (Sept. 5, around 7pm). My forehead and chin have browned nicely but my cheeks are red-brown. There are demarcation lines everywhere. I'm worried that my skin was burned and/or will result to post-peel hyperpigmentation. Thinking of getting Tri Luma for it. PS: My entire face is at the wrinkly stage but won't be peeling anytime soon. Texture-wise, it's smooth with no open wounds. I'm applying Bactroban and Aveeno daily.

Answer: 48 hours after 20% TCA peel. Is this normal?
Hypopigmentation is very difficult to treat, but possible. I would suggest some light chemical peels, directed fractional laser, and topical skincare to help even out the color and texture. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
I would recommend local wound care followed by application of Plato's Scar Serum. You may develop scarring so seek the advice of a physician. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
The concentration of a chemical peel is only one factor influencing depth. The number of passes of the peel can change the depth of the peel. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
