Kidney biopsy on Accutane?

I have been on Accutane for the past 6 months and May 2022 I will be finished. I was told that you can’t have surgery for at least 6 months after accutane. Would I need to wait 6 months to have a kidney biopsy? I am being tested for lupus nephritis and may need a kidney biopsy.

Accutane will make you more photosensitive - meaning an increased sensitivity to UV light. I advise all of my patients taking Accutane that they have an increased risk for experiencing bad sun burns. Proper sun protection is strongly recommended. In general, tanning beds are NEVER a good option!...
