I’m 47 and have a long history of acne. Took acne when younger and have been on 150 mg spironolactone for years. Derm is now recommending accutane because the spiro stopped working. But, on 150 mg my potassium is already a little high. My cholesterol is also borderline (hereditary, no meds). Should I try accutane or go up to 200 mg spiro instead? I have no health problems besides acne, am not overweight, exercise regularly. Which is the lesser evil?
