Rhinoplasty done May 2018 - while cleaning nose with tweezers the other day I pulled down on something and now nose has indent.

I had rhinoplasty done to thin and reduce a bump on the top of my nose in May 2018. The other day I was using tweezers to clean my nose and pulled down on something that I thought was dried mucus. I felt something shift and now my nose has an indent above my right nostril. There was no bleeding. I'm worried that I pulled down on something supporting the nose (though I don't know why that would still be there so long after the surgery). I'm very worried that I damaged my surgery. Should I visit my doctor?

You should ask your surgeon about any particular restrictions following the surgery. In general application of lights masks when they are not exerting any pressure on the nose is permitted by most surgeons.

Hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based  in your question its doesnt affect your ability to play sports , but after this procedure you have to take a rest and follow up the instruction from your plastics surgeon .

Hi,It is likely this may well improve with time. If the issue is a concern though, or ongoing I would speak to your surgeon as there may a need an increased sensativity to the lining of the nose after the rhinoplasty, that may need short term medical treatment.Jeremy Hunt
