I asked my doctor for a full round butt. He liposuctiond almost 7 liters of fat so I was surprised to hear he only injected 1050 per cheek. I heard of girls getting more. Can this amount achieve a big butt? What is the range normally used to achieve a full butt? How many cc's would I probably end up keeping? And when will the fat cell death end I'll know my final result? Thank you!
Answer: BBL results Dear lovenoel, the amount of transferred fat is individual. Some patients might get great results with 300-400cc but some might require 800-1000cc the get the same results. In most cases, patients lose up to one third of transferred fat. If you have any concerns, you should consult your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: How much (big) is 1050 cc on the Brazilian butt lift scale? Thank you for your question. The amount of fat transferred depends on the quantity available and the extent of buttock augmentation each patient desires. Sufficient body fat for a buttock augmentation is very patient-specific, depending on an individual’s body shape and proportions as well as their expectations. Buttock augmentation with fat grafting is one of our most popular procedures in Colombia, and from experience we can tell you that some patients do very well with 300 cc of fat per side while others can need 800 cc or more.

Answer: BBL volume One liter or so is a decent amount of fat to each side. But, every patient is different in what they need.

Answer: 1050 cc Brazilian Butt Lift Is High Volume Fat Transfer The amount of fat that can be put into each butt cheek will depend on how well your skin accepts the fat. 1050 cc is more than a decent amount and is actually on the higher end of injected volume. Yes, I too have seen the work of surgeons who inject sometimes up to 2 liters per butt cheek. But notice how these surgeons never show their LONG-TERM results. The results they tend to show are those IMMEDIATELY after the surgery while the patient is still in the operating room on the operating room table. This is a farce and false advertising. Short-term or instant photos do not tell you the truth about overfilling and the long-term complications that come with it. Unless someone has a volume of less than 500 ccs per cheek, it is common for most of the fat to be discarded in a Brazilian Butt Lift. In most cases, the majority of the fat is not injected into the buttocks. Using all of your fat for 3.5 L or 3500 cc of fat per side? That would be ludicrous. You should be pleased with the amount injected, as well as the amount harvested - 7 liters (6900 cc in your case) is a lot of fat. Overfilling with fat can cause complications such as oil cysts, fat nodules, sizable lumps, skin necrosis, and infection. If you want bigger buttocks after more than a liter of fat was injected into each side, then a secondary procedure can be done 6-12 months later once things have settled. Better to have two separate procedures than to have a second procedure to fix a series of complications from overfilling in the first place. I'm sure your plastic surgeon would be willing to address your concerns and answer all of the questions you posted, especially since s/he knows specifically what was done doing your procedure and you entrusted him/her with your body. Lastly, different fat volumes will look different depending on BMI and body dimensions. Comparing yourself to others or to photoshopped, airbrushed, filtered Instagram photos will only bring disappointment (think of Kim K's buttocks before versus after photoshop). You should aim for a improved version of yourself. Take on the mindset of glass half full instead of half empty!
