Does Isotretinoin cause irregular menstrual periods after taking?

I took Isotretinoin for 7 months and had no irregular menstrual period during it. I am now off of the medication, I usually get mine around the 25th and last about 5 days. I got my period 8 days early and I’m on day 9 and it’s not getting any lighter is this something I should be worried about?

Thank you for your question. In my experience, Accutane should not affect the menstrual cycles, but with that being said, I highly recommend you consult a board certified gynecologist for further evaluation. Take care and good luck.
