I actually don’t mind my freckles but the larger circluar ones, especially on my neck, I want removed. What kind of procedure removes freckles and what are the cost estimates? I only want 2 or 3 removed (especially the dark one on my neck)
Answer: Sun damaged skin can be treated by doing IPL and Clear & Brilliant laser treatment Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Mole Removal Options Hello JAS. These look like small moles. Generally speaking, lasers have a difficult time with these and if a laser is able to remove them, what's left behind is usually worse than the original mark. For this reason, we use an old school technology called a hyfrecator (cauterization). The heat from low voltage electricity removes the tissue and you get a small scab for a week or so. Usually 1-2 visits are required. Surgery is also an option, but then scarring is a concern, just like laser. Best of luck.

Answer: Removing freckles with lasers, microneedling/prp, TCA peels, Cosmelan A combination approach will give you the most improvement. I recommend lasers (IPL combined with Fraxel), microneedling/prp, Cosmelan and TCA peels when rendered by great provider will provide great results. Cost and amount of sessions needed will vary, but I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: "freckles" Thank you for your question, Freckles may be interpreted by some as sun damage/age spots, moles, lentigos or hyperpigmentation. Commonly patients refer to a variety of spots as such. I would recommend seeing a dermatologist to address your specific areas of concern. Rule out any potential cause for concern prior to seeking cosmetic treatment. Make a plan to treat your spots and be sure to have a quality skin care regimen, including sun protection, to keep you looking and feeling your best. Best,
