I used minoxidil to enhance facial hair and I’ve heard many different outcomes regarding stopping the use of minoxidil. One outcome is that you’d have to wait til hair becomes terminal to cease use and the other is no matter how long you use it’ll fall regardless when stopped. What outcome is true ? Also is minoxidil safe for prolonged use? ex; 2-3 years

minoxidil  does not work for enhancing the beard hair. Beard area may restored with HT. You may have  a hair transplant surgery from scalp skin follicular units to beard area with FUE to have more/denser facial beard hair.

The drug minoxidil is good to induce hair growth but the hairs that are grown from this drug become dependent upon the drug and when it is stopped there is a significant risk that you will lose the benefits of the minoxidil
