In order for your surgery to be done safely, a number of factors would have to align. Your surgeon should request clearance from your Hepatology doctors and/or Liver Transplant doctors before undergoing an elective surgery. Doing liposuction through scar tissue can be very risky, because it distorts the tissue in irregular ways. A patient who has had previous abdominal surgery, especially with a large incision, is at a higher risk of injury to surrounding tissue, such as the organs within the abdominal cavity.
